Jammu, (DD)The Indian Army has called on its Pakistani counterparts to uphold the 2021 Director Generals of Military Operations (DGsMO) ceasefire agreement following an alleged cross-border intrusion and ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

According to an official statement, a mine blast occurred in the Krishna Ghati sector on April 1, 2025, due to “Pakistan Army intrusion across the Line of Control (LoC).” This was followed by “unprovoked firing and ceasefire violation” by Pakistani forces.

“Our troops responded in a controlled and calibrated manner. The situation is under control and being closely monitored,” the statement read.

The Indian Army reiterated the importance of maintaining peace along the LoC and adhering to the DGsMO understanding to prevent further escalations.(DD)
