Indian Army’s Medical Patrol: 40 Gujjar – Bakarwals avail benefit of free medical care in Khodra, Rajouri

Diplomat Correspondent

Rajouri:DD, The Indian Army has always been recognised for its ethos, values and traditions of the highest order.

Its professional and humane approach is well known and consistently praised. Upholding these traditions, the Indian Army continues to work hand in hand with the Awam to address various challenges, including those related to healthcare.

In line with this commitment, the Indian Army at Samote organised a medical patrol for the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities in the remote area of Khodra Village on 13 July 2025.

A total of 40 locals from the village of Khodra benefited from the initiative, availing themselves of free medical treatment and medicines.

Army medical representatives provided comprehensive care to all patients during the patrol which was specifically aimed at delivering essential healthcare directly to the people in these far-flung areas.

The local populace appreciated the selfless efforts of the Army, stating that such initiatives not only bring much-needed medical services to their doorstep but also strengthen the bond between the Army and the Awam, fostering greater cooperation towards the development of the region.DD
