Indian Army’s Medical Patrol in Nabana Moh at Salani, Poonch

Poonch,DD: Indian army conducted a Medical Patrol in the Nabana Moh, Salani of Poonch District focusing on the Gujjar and Bakkarwal populations.
This initiative brought critical medical assistance to areas otherwise cut off from essential healthcare services. This outreach is an integral part of the Indian Army’s broader mission to improve the quality of life for communities in remote and underserved areas.
By focusing on the needs of these isolated villages, the Indian Army ensures that even the most marginalized population have access to basic healthcare, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to their well-being. Irrespective to their geographic location.
The primary goal of the medical patrol was to offer immediate medical care, which included routine health check-ups, treatment for common ailments and the distributions of vital medications.
Additionally, the Indian Army’s team of medical professionals provided crucial preventive healthcare services, including immunizations and awareness programs on hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention.


The response from the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities has been overwhelmingly positive. Beyond its medical benefits, the initiative has fostered greater trust and cooperation between the Indian Army and local residents, strengthening the bond between the two and reinforcing a shared sense of solidarity.
