Indian – Pakistan’s Brigade Commander Level Flag Meeting Concludes at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch

MENDHAR:DD, A Brigade Commander level flag meeting of India and Pakistan on Friday was held at Chakan -da-Bagh along the Line of Control between the Indian and Pakistani Armies.
Amid flared-up tension on LoC, the defence sources said that the deliberations were held to defuse tension that has escalated for the last several weeks.
In a 75-minute meeting, the defence sources told Diplomat Digital that both sides exchanged their views and expressed satisfaction to de-escalate the situation on the LoC.
“The India Army has conveyed its strong resentment against the Pakistani Army’s unprovoked firing across the LoC to facilitate infiltration,” said the defence sources.
They said that the Pakistani Army was warned against continuation of such violations in future.
Following Indian Army’s resentment, it was learnt that the Pakistani side has agreed to maintain ceasefire along the LoC, the sources added.DD
