POONCH: DD, Indian Army foiled a major infiltration bid across the Line of Control in Balakote Sector of District Poonch, this morning.
As per the officials, the alert troops of Indian Army were guarding a post in the forward post, when they noticed a suspicious movement near the LoC.
The troops challenged the infiltrators, and instantly opened the fire preventing the infiltration attempt, a defence spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that: “Own troops have been repositioned and re-oriented to ensure foolproof domination of the area using all available means. Troops are maintaining high alert in their respective areas.”DD
