Tehran, (DD):In a strongly-worded televised address on Tuesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a stern warning to the United States, declaring that any military intervention by Washington would result in “irreparable damage” to all involved.
Ayatollah Khamenei praised what he described as the “composed, courageous, and timely” response of the Iranian people to the recent “foolish and malicious attack by the Zionist enemy”, calling it a reflection of the nation’s spiritual strength, rationality, and maturity.
“The Iranian nation stands firm against imposed war, just as it will stand firm against any imposed peace,” Khamenei said. “This nation will never surrender to coercion from anyone.”
The Supreme Leader’s remarks came amid rising regional tensions and increasingly confrontational rhetoric from Washington. Referring directly to recent “offensive and threatening” comments made by the U.S. President, Khamenei asserted:
“Those who truly understand Iran, its people, and its deep-rooted history never speak to this nation with threats—because the Iranian people are not ones to surrender.”
He concluded his message with a stark caution to American leaders:
“The Americans should know that any military entry into Iran will undoubtedly bring about irreversible harm.”
The remarks come at a critical juncture, as observers warn of the risk of escalating confrontation in the region. Iran’s leadership has consistently vowed to resist both military aggression and diplomatic pressure that it views as unjust or externally imposed.(DD)
