Jammu :TDD, In a significant development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a Government Order (GO) relieving Alok Kumar, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 1990 batch, from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The order, issued on October 10, 2024, states that Kumar will be repatriated to his parent cadre with immediate effect.
The decision to repatriate Kumar comes in response to a communication received from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, on September 11, 2024. The Ministry’s approval for pre-mature repatriation was granted based on the Competent Authority’s assessment.
Kumar’s departure from J&K marks the end of his tenure in Jammu and Kashmir. His contributions to the Union Territory during his time there will undoubtedly be remembered. As he returns to his parent cadre, it remains to be seen what his future endeavors will entail.TDD
