Jammu ,TDD,Zulfiqar Naqvi, a distinguished figure in the realms of education and literature, has recently been honored with the prestigious “Award of Excellence” for his remarkable contributions in education and literature. This accolade was presented during the celebrations of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s birth anniversary by the Jammu and Kashmir Alig Society, a registered esteemed organization of Aligarh Muslim University alumni. The event, held in collaboration with the 54 BN BSF, recognized numerous prominent individuals from Peer Panchal for their key contributions across various fields.
Born in Gursai village of Tehsil Mendhar, Zulfiqar Naqvi’s journey reflects a commitment to education and cultural enrichment. A graduate of Jammu University and holding a Master’s in English from AMU Aligarh, he furthered his academic pursuits with a BIAMS from Kolkata. He initiated his career at All India Radio Poonch., where he worked as an announcer and Pahadi compere for five years, honing his skills in communication and public engagement.
Currently serving as a principal in the education department, Zulfiqar Naqvi is not only an educator but also a celebrated Urdu poet and English writer. He has garnered significant acclaim for his profound expertise in phonetics and has published extensively in national and international Urdu journals. His literary contributions span a diverse array of genres, extending well beyond poetry; he is the founder of the international literary forum “Muntaha-e-Fikr,” which publishes a journal under the same title, promoting literary discourse on a global scale.
In 2019, he composed the anthem “Tarana” for Government Degree College Surankote, a noteworthy achievement that has been widely praised for its inspiring message and lyrical beauty.
Zulfiqar Naqvi’s influence extends into academia, with his poetry featured in the doctoral research of scholars from BHU Varanasi and Delhi University, affirming his significant impact on contemporary literature. Notably, one of these scholars has already been awarded his Doctorate, showcasing the timeless influence of Zulfiqar Naqvi’s work and literary legacy.
