Jammu Police arrests vehicle lifter, recover stolen scooty

Jammu, TDD,Demonstrating swift action and effective investigation, Jammu Police successfully recovered a stolen scooty and apprehended the accused involved in the crime.

On 11.09.2024, Kishore Kumar, son of Chuni Lal, resident of Siot, District Rajouri, lodged a written complaint at Police Post Panjtirthi.
He reported that his scooty (JK11E-1672) was stolen from Panjtirthi near Billu Mandir by unknown individuals. Acting on the complaint, a case was promptly registered at Police Station Pacca Danga under FIR No 102/2024 U/S 303(2) BNS, and investigation initiated by SHO Pacca Danga and ICPP Panjtirthi under the close supervision of SDPO City North Jammu and guidance of SP City North.

During the investigation, a suspect, Varun Gill, son of William Gill, resident Or Sajalpur Marh, Jammu, was taken into custody for questioning.
Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft, and the stolen scooty was subsequently recovered based on his disclosure.
