Jammu,DD, In order to redress the grievances of general public & review the welfare measures of senior citizens including retired police personnel “Thana Diwas” has been held with retired officers/officials & senior citizens at Police Station Ranbir Singh Pura.
On the occasion, SDPO R.S Pura Sh. Gurmeet Singh-JKPS & Insp. Ravi Singh Parihar SHO P.S Ranbir Singh Pura were present. The occasion was attended by 30/35 retired officers/officials and senior citizens of Ranbir Singh Pura.
SHO R S Pura appeal the participants to share the informations with regard to NDPS Act and Criminal activities.
At the outset of the occasion, SDPO sir welcomed and thanked all the participants for sparing their valuable time and attending the meeting. He assured them that Police is always at their disposal and they are still part of Police Organization to retired officers/officials. The chairing officer also advised participants that they can approach any Police Officer or Police Unit at any time of exigency or to redress their grievances/problems. He also added that various measures are being taken by the Police Department for the welfare of retired police personnel and their wards.
One more Thana Diwas was successfully conducted at Police Station Bishnah, in which representatives from the Matador Union, Auto Union, street vendors, and the fruit and vegetable union participated
Particpipants on the occasion emphasized strengthening police-public relations and appreciated role police station in actively conducting awareness programmes on the New Criminal Laws (NCL).
The participants thanked Police for organizing such programme’s and hoped that such events will be held in future as well so as to redress the grievances of the general public including retirees and senior citizens of the area.DD
