Jammu, TDD,Jammu police in a initiative to send the clear message to criminals and absconders against whom the warrants are pending have set in motion the proceedings under the supervision of SSP Jammu under section 84 BNSS against a PSA absconder namely Mohd Asgar @ Tola S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Chowadhi Jammu who was evading his arrest since long.
A history sheeter of PS Channi Himmat namely Mohd Asgar @ Tola S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Chowadhi Jammu was wilfully evading his arrest since long against a warrant issued by DM Jammu.
In this connection proclamation proceedings mandated under provisions of sections 12(a) & (b) of Public Safety Act 1978 was issued by Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu on the recommendations of DM jammu to ensure the presence of the absconder so that the arrest warrant is executed.
As per the Court order, the accused has been directed to surrender before competent authority within a period of 30 days* failing which action warranted under laws shall be taken against him.
*Notice was served to the family members of the accused Mohd Asgar@ Tola and was also pasted on the prominent places of Chowadhi by joint team of Police Station Channi Jammu under the supervision of SP South and SDPO City East Jammu.
This unique initiative has been taken by jammu police to ensure the presence of PSA absconder & a clear deterrent to other criminals elements .
Local people of the area , common citizens and netizens of Jammu have hailed the initiative of Jammu police.
This move of jammu police is in concurrence with the directions issued by election commission of India to take punitive action against the absconders and criminals who are evading arrest and writ of law of the land.TDD
