JAMMU POLICE IN ACTION AGAIN: TRAPS CRIMINALS AT RING ROAD; ONE INJURED, ANOTHER NABBED

Jammu: DD,An alleged criminal was on Saturday sustained bullet injuries, and another was arrested by the joint police teams at Ring Road area in Jammu’s outskirts.
Acting on the intelligence inputs about the possible movement of criminals, police claimed that they established a joint team of Police Station Miran Sahib and Police Station Satwari laid a special naka at Ring Road to nab them.
The police claimed that the police were checking the vehicles due to which the criminals, travelling in a vehicle, tried to attack the police.
In response to their aggression, the police team opened fire in defence in which Daljot Singh (22), resident of Dashmesh Nagar, Digiana, Jammu sustained bullet injuries. Meanwhile, the police have arrested his accomplice.
The injured were rushed to the GMC Jammu hospital, and further investigation into the case has been taken up.
Pertinently, the DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua, Shiv Kumar Sharma had given strict instructions to the police to crackdown against the gangsters, landgrabbers and other criminals.
Accordingly, the police in different police stations across Jammu, Samba and Kathua Districts have launched major hunt against the criminals, following recent crime related incidents in Phallian Mandal, Jewel Chowk, Greater Kailash etc.DD
