The Diplomat Desk

Srinagar,(TDD): The Jammu and Kashmir administration today ordered the immediate repatriation of all employees of the J&K Legislative Assembly who had been deployed across various departments and offices.

As per the official order, a copy of which is with the TDD, all employees previously deployed by the General Administration Department (GAD) are required to report back to the office of the Secretary, J&K Legislative Assembly, in Jammu or Srinagar, without delay.

It reads as, the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, had issued a reference earlier, dated September 19, 2024, underlining the need for the employees to return to their parent organization. The order also mandates the Secretary of the Legislative Assembly to report any non-compliance to the GAD within a week of the order’s issuance.

“All affected officials will be considered relieved from their current positions and are expected to comply with the repatriation order promptly. By order of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir,” reads the order.—(TDD)
