Jammu: DD, J&K Bank today gave a warm send-off to General Manager Rajesh Gupta, who superannuated from the Bank after rendering 36 years of dedicated service. Joining the institution as a Probationary Officer in 1989, Rajesh Gupta rose through the ranks to become General Manager, serving in several key leadership roles including Zonal Head, Divisional Head, and most recently as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters.
Held at the Bank’s corporate headquarters, Executive Director Sudhir Gupta presided over the farewell function that was attended by CGMs Sunit Kumar and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, General Managers, DGMs and other senior officers.
In his message on the occasion, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee commended the affable personality, calm demeanour and people-friendly behaviour of the retiring officer.
He said, “Rajesh Gupta’s journey embodies dedication and humility. His professional approach and personal touch left a positive impact on everyone he worked with. I urge our younger executives to emulate such qualities as they take on leadership roles within the Bank.”
Extending best wishes for his post-retirement, MD & CEO said, “As you step into a new chapter after a fulfilling career spanning 36 years, we wish you and your loved ones good health, happiness, and peace in the years ahead.”
In his remarks at the farewell meeting, ED Sudhir Gupta said, “I have seen Rajesh Gupta always leading by example as he embodied a deep sense of belonging to the institution. His contribution to the Bank’s journey will be remembered with respect and admiration.”
Expressing his gratitude, Rajesh Gupta said, “Whatever I have achieved in life – every milestone and every recognition – I owe it to this great institution. I feel deeply satisfied today, having spent my entire career among such wonderful colleagues who have always been supportive and caring. I thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart.”
The event concluded with the participants recalling fond memories of working with the outgoing officer and appreciating his contribution to the Bank’s growth story. They also wished him a happy and fulfilling post-retirement life.DD
