J&K CS flags off Kashmir to Kanyakumari cycle race education; Valley to host ‘Big Marathon on Oct 20

Srinagar, (TDD): Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Secretary Atal Duloo today flagged Cycle race edition from Kashmir to Kanyakumari stating that stage is set for a big Kashmir marathon on October 20 in which over 2000 athletes including many international athletes are expected to participate.

Talking to reporters in Srinagar after flagging off the second edition of the cycle race from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, said that scores of participants are taking part in the cycle race edition.
“There are some international cyclists in the race as well,” he said. Asked about the support J&K administration is providing the cyclists, Duloo said that as long as these cyclists are in J&K, they will get best possible support including accommodation and travel facilities. “We are hopeful to make the event bigger next year,” he said.
The J&K CS said that on October 20, a big Kashmir Marathon will take place in which 2000 athletes from all over the globe and the country are expected to participate. “This year has been full of events and Kashmir Marathon will be the biggest one where we will see large number of international Athletes,” he said.
He said arrangements are being finalised for the upcoming Kashmir Marathon. “We will ensure quality travel and accommodation for the international players,” the CS said— (TDD)
