Udhampur :DD, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, while addressing media here in Majalta area of District, said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has acquired the title of “Police of Martyrs.” He pointed out that the police force has sacrificed a lot in order to make Jammu and Kashmir secure and safe.
Choudhary recalled that in the last 30 years, a number of its valorous officers were lost to the Jammu and Kashmir Police. He was well aware of the fact that even security personnel, Army personnel,BSF and other Security forces have paid with their life to a big extent in carrying out their line-of-duty. The Deputy Chief Minister further told that to serve the state from militancy, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has well-exceeded what they were needed for.
He was in deep grief about the recent loss of four police officials who lost their lives during an encounter in Kathua. Choudhary said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had met the families of the martyrs at their homes to express his deepest condolences.
The Deputy Chief Minister declared that all those who have tried to disrupt peace, communal harmony, and the integrity of India in the past 30 years have been unsuccessful in their mission and will continue to be defeated. He ended by reiterating the strength of brotherhood in the area, declaring that no power in the world can shatter their unity and fraternal ties.DD
