Ramban, TDD: The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Gool organized a one-day Employees’ Convention at Gool, attended by hundreds of employees and graced by Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) Ramban Dr. Shamshada Shan, as the chief guest.
The one-day Employees’ Convention marked a significant milestone in advancing the welfare of employees across the region.
Led by Jalil Ahmed Sheikh, Tehsil President EJAC Gool, and Fyaz Ahmed Mir, District President EJAC Ramban, the convention focused on a comprehensive charter of demands, including regularization policies for daily wagers, Rehbar-e-Khel, and Rehbar-e-Jangalat employees; improved job stability for Anganwadi Workers, Seasonal Teachers, and AAYAs; enhanced wages for ASHA Workers and PTS Employees; restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS); and creation of a Teachers’ Bhawan in Gool.
The DDC chairperson assured attendees of her commitment to raising these issues at the highest levels of government. EJAC leaders, under the guidance of President Wajahat Hussain Durrani and Provincial President Sheikh Mohammad Ashraf, pledged to continue advocating for employees’ rights, with a follow-up meeting planned for January 2025.
The convention concluded with a renewed commitment to address these pressing issues, ensuring justice and socio-economic development for Sub-Division Gool.TDD
