J&K Govt Announces Major Reshuffle of Senior IPS, JKPS Officers; G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy Appointed SSP Srinagar

Srinagar, (DD): The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has carried out a significant reshuffle, transferring and posting over 100 police officers, including senior IPS and JKPS personnel, across the Union Territory.

In a high-profile change, G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy (IPS-2014) has been appointed as the new SSP Srinagar, replacing Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria (IPS-2014), who will now serve as Principal of PTTI Vijaypur.

Other key appointments include Uttam Chand (IPS-2002) as IGP Police Operations and Services, Sarah Rizvi (IPS-2008) as DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, and Rayees Mohammad Bhat (IPS-2010) as DIG CID Kashmir.

The reshuffle also saw changes in the JKPS cadre, with Amit Gupta (JKPS-2001) appointed SSP HQ CID and Mohd Majid Malik (JKPS-2001) named SSP (SS) CID HQ.

These changes are aimed at bolstering the police force’s efficiency and response capabilities across the region.(DD)
