Jammu: DD, A delegation of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, led by President K. Nirmal Kotwal, comprising of office bearers Vice president Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan, Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal alongwith team and members of Young Lawyers Association including Amandeep Sharma, Saksham Gupta, Hitesh Koul, Gagandeep Singh, Paramveer Singh and Manas Gandhi visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu today to meet the victims of the recent Kishtwar cloudburst tragedy.
The delegation expressed solidarity with the affected families, appreciated the tireless efforts of the medical staff, administration, local MLAs, and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh in managing the crisis, and assured full support to the hospital authorities.
The delegation met with the victims and their families, offering condolences and moral support during this difficult time. They also held a meeting with the Principal of GMC Jammu, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, to discuss the ongoing relief efforts and the condition of the victims.
The office bearers lauded the doctors and medical staff for their relentless dedication in providing critical care to the injured. They also commended the swift response of the local administration, including the district authorities, local MLAs, and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, for their proactive measures in coordinating rescue operations, providing relief, and ensuring medical support for the victims of the cloudburst tragedy in Kishtwar.
In his statement, President K Nirmal Kotwal expressed grief to the families affected by the tragic cloudburst in Kishtwar, and assured that the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, stands in solidarity with them. JKHCBAJ assured the hospital authorities of their full support and readiness to volunteer in any capacity to aid the recovery efforts.
During the meeting with Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of GMC Jammu, the delegation assured the hospital administration of their readiness to volunteer and provide any necessary assistance to support the victims’ recovery. They also discussed ways the legal fraternity could contribute to long-term rehabilitation efforts for the affected families.
The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, reiterated its commitment to serving the community and supporting initiatives that promote the welfare and recovery of those impacted by natural calamities in the region.DD
