Ganderbal, (DD)Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Friday reaffirmed Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to strengthening its counter-terrorism grid and stepping up efforts to combat the growing threat of cybercrime.
Speaking at a passing out parade of new recruits at the Police Training Centre in Manigam, Central Kashmir, DGP Prabhat said that the force is evolving to meet modern security challenges. “We are enhancing our counter-terror capabilities and working actively to curb cybercriminal activity,” he stated.
The DGP expressed gratitude to the Central Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs for their consistent support. “We thank the Centre and the MHA for equipping us with the tools and resources needed to secure the region,” he said.
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by police personnel, Prabhat reiterated the department’s commitment to the families of martyrs. “J&K Police will always stand with the families of our bravehearts who laid down their lives in service of the nation,” he emphasized.
Extending congratulations to the newly inducted constables, the police chief commended their discipline, spirit, and dedication. “You are now part of one of the finest police forces in the country. I see great potential and purpose in each one of you,” he remarked.
The ceremony marked a proud moment for the recruits and highlighted the police force’s ongoing efforts to modernize and prepare for future challenges in maintaining peace and order in Jammu and Kashmir.(DD)
