Kishtwar, DD, In a significant achievement, J&K Police District Kishtwar apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past five years.
Acting on specific information, a police team led by SHO PS Kishtwar Insp. Firdous Ahmed assisted by IC PP Drabshalla PSI Ankush Sharma under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Kishtwar Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS, conducted a raid at a suspected location and arrested the absconder Kuljeet Kumar @ Bablo, S/O Prabhu Lal, R/O Balgran, Tehsil Dhrabshalla, District Kishtwar. The accused had been on the run since 2021 and was wanted in connection with a FIR registered against him.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Javaid Iqbal Mir-JKPS has issued a stern warning to all fugitives, urging them to surrender at the nearest police station. He further emphasized that strict action under Sections 82/83 CrPC will be taken against those who continue to evade the law.
