Srinagar, (DD): Jammu and Kashmir Police officers and personnel were recognised with 27 prestigious awards on the occasion of Republic Day 2025, including 15 Gallantry Medals (GM), 2 President’s Medals for Distinguished Service (PSM), and 10 Medals for Meritorious Service (MSM).
Among the prominent recipients are Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police; Nitish Kumar, CID Chief and former IGP Kashmir; Vijay Kumar, IPS; and Rakesh Balwal, IPS, former Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar.
Gallantry Medal Awardees
The Gallantry Medals were awarded for exceptional bravery in the line of duty to the following personnel:

Distinguished and Meritorious Service Awards
In addition to the Gallantry Medals, two officers received the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 10 others were awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service for their continuous and dedicated contributions to maintaining peace and order in Jammu and Kashmir.
