J&K Police Launches Major Anti-Terror Operation In Warwan, Tracking Routes to Pahalgam

WARWAN (KISHTWAR): DD,J&K Police have tightened its grid and cordoned the areas suspected to be the movement route of the terrorists in the upper reaches of Kishtwar District.
Acting on the credible intelligence inputs, the J&K Police teams led by SDPO Marwah, Vijay Kumar Bhagat, and SHO Warwan, Danish Amin launched major manhunt in the of the remotest areas of Kishtwar, on the directions of SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh.
The police teams have been conducting Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Warwan’s passes, and villages on the basics of the intelligence inputs.
The police sources claim that the operation was launched in the Choidraman, Basminah, and Sukhnai areas (Warwan).


“Sukhnai is one of the favourite trekking routes that connect to Pahalgam and Sheshnag areas in the upper reaches of Kashmir Valley,” they said.
They said that “These passes are constantly being monitored by the J&K Police to curb the terror movement / any kind of activities.”
Accordingly, the combing operation has been launched for the consecutive second day to nab the suspected terrorists, and their sympathisers. Further details are awaited.DD
