J&K Polls: Over 41% voter turn out recorded till 1 pm

Srinagar, (TDD): Jammu and Kashmir today recorded over 41 per cent voter turn out till 1 pm for the first phase of assembly polls, officials said.

An official statement issued to TDD reads  that Jammu and Kashmir recorded 41.17 per cent voter turn till 1 pm even as long queues of voters  are still outside the polling stations.

The polls in J&K are being held after a gap of a decade in three phases with first phase underway today.

Second phase will be held on September 25 and the final phase will be held on October 1, while counting of votes will be  on October 8. (TDD)
