LoP Rahul Gandhi had asked IYC to take-up the cause to help orphan children

Poonch: DD, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) leaders today handed over educational aid to 30 children of the Indo-Pak war’s civilian martyrs in Poonch.
As per a press release, JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra and National President of IYC Udey Bhanu Chib handed over cheques of financial/educational aid to 30 children of war martyrs in Poonch on the directions of Leader of Opposition (LoP) Lok Sabha and former President of Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi.
These cheques were handed over in the presence of Working President JKPCC Raman Bhalla, AICC Secretary Shah Nawaz Chaudhary, Former Chairman Legislative council Jahangir Mir, Sain Abdul Rasheed, DDC, District President Poonch S Rajinder Singh Kaka, IYC Secretary Ajaz Chaudhary, Taj Hussain Mir and PYC Vice President, Fiaz Ahmed and General Secretary Anirudh Sawhney.
In a simple function in Poonch attended by the affected children and their relatives besides prominent Congress and youth Congress leaders, they were handed over the cheques of financial aid in order to sustain their lives, especially carrying on their education.
These children lost their parents and bread earners in Pakistan shelling during Operation Sindoor in which 13 persons lost lives and 28 others injured.
JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra told reporters here that LOP Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Poonch to meet victims of Pakistan shelling also visited a school and met the children.
He desired the finding out of most deserving children to be provided financial aid to carry on their studies.
As a result the IYC started this exercise to shortlist the most deserving children left orphan and lost their bread earner and offered financial aid to them.
Karra said that the All India Congress leader had visited different affected families in Poonch and shared their grief and gave a message of concern and care for citizens in this extreme border belt, who were targeted by Pakistan against all principles of humanity and international norms of war.
He appreciated the IYC led by Udey Bhanu Chib for taking up this pious initiative to help the most deserving children who lost parents in the service of the nation. Nothing can be more pious than this cause.
All India Youth Congress President Udey Bhanu Chib said on the occasion that the IYC was inspired by LOP Rahul Gandhi to undertake this most deserving cause of service and extend helping hand to the victims of war.
He said that these children shall be able to continue their studies against the worst situation caused by Pakistan shelling. More organizations and affluent members of society should come forward in such situations adding that there is no dearth of kind people who support the suffering people in need.
Mr Shah Nawaz Chaudhary thanked Rahul Gandhi and IYC for extending financial support to the most deserving children who are the worst sufferers of the Pakistan shelling.
Meanwhile, Jahangir Mir and DCC President Rajinder Singh Kaka thanked Rahul Gandhi and JKPCC President, Tariq Hameed Karra for considering the request of the people of Poonch during their visits and asked the Youth Congress to take care of these orphan children.
