Srinagar: DD, The sleuths of Special Crime Wing in Crime Branch (Kashmir) have submitted a charge-sheet against two persons who duped job seekers in exchange of money.
As per the statement, the CB Kashmir has filed a case under FIR Number 19 of 2023 under Sections 419, 420, and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), after completing the investigation on receiving a written complaint.
Accordingly, the chargesheet was produced before the court of chief judicial magistrate in Kulgam against two person who cheated two person on assuring
Acting on a written complaint in which the complainants claimed that the accused persons had deceitfully cheated them on the pretext of providing government jobs in exchange for large sums of money.
Instantly, a formal preliminary enquiry was initiated at the Police Station Special Crime Wing (CB, Kashmir).
During the course of investigation, it surfaced that the accused had dishonestly induced the complainants by promising them employment in government departments, thereby grabbing their hard-earned money through fraudulent means.
The investigation further revealed that one of the accused had also impersonated himself as a Kashmiri migrant to gain the confidence of the victims and facilitate the commission of the offence, it reads.
On the basis of the evidence gathered, offences punishable under Sections 419 (cheating by personation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) RPC were established against the accused.DD
