High Court delegation’s scenic tour sends strong signal of safety and serenity

Srinagar,(DD)In a major morale boost to Kashmir’s tourism sector, eight Judges from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, along with their families, are currently on a leisure visit to the Valley—signalling renewed confidence in the region’s tranquillity, security, and hospitality.
The esteemed visitors include Justice Vinod S. Bharadwaj, Justice Pankaj Jain, Justice Jasjit Singh Bedi, Justice Nidhi Gupta, Justice Harkesh Manuja, Justice Aman Choudhary, Justice N.S. Shekawat, and Justice Vikram Aggarwal.
During their stay, the delegation explored several of Kashmir’s iconic attractions, including the famed Mughal gardens of Shalimar and Nishat, a peaceful shikara ride on Dal Lake, a heritage walk through the historic Pari Mahal, and an evening immersed in the charm of Polo View Market.
Their visit comes at a crucial time, following the recent Pahalgam incident which had cast temporary doubts over tourism in the Valley. Now, with such high-profile guests moving freely and enjoying local sights, the message is clear: Kashmir remains a safe and welcoming destination.
Local tourism stakeholders—hoteliers, travel agents, artisans, and guides—have already reported a noticeable uptick in bookings and visitor enquiries since the judges’ arrival.
“This visit goes beyond symbolism—it sends a clear message across the country that Kashmir is open, safe, and thriving,” said a Srinagar-based tour operator.
Justice Vikram Aggarwal expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and urged fellow citizens across India to visit Kashmir and experience its unparalleled natural beauty and cultural richness.
