Kashmir Colleges to Observe 10-Day Summer Break from June 24

Srinagar, (DD) Amid soaring temperatures across the region, the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has announced a 10-day summer vacation for all government degree colleges in the Kashmir division, beginning June 24.

The department has advanced the vacation dates in response to the prevailing heatwave. Originally scheduled to be held from July 15 to July 24, the summer break will now be observed from June 24 to July 3.

An official order issued by the department stated, “In partial modification of the previous notification, it is ordered that the summer vacation in all Government Degree Colleges of Kashmir division shall be observed from June 24 to July 3, 2025.”

The move aims to ensure the well-being of students and staff amid the unusually high temperatures being recorded across the Valley.(DD)
