Srinagar, (DD): In light of the prevailing heatwave across the Kashmir Valley, Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday announced a 10-day summer vacation for all government and private schools in the region, starting July 1 through July 10.

The decision, aimed at ensuring the safety and comfort of students during the intense heat, applies to schools in all districts of Kashmir division.

“Considering the severity of the heatwave, schools in Kashmir will remain closed for summer break from July 1 to July 10,” the minister said.

She added that the government would monitor the weather conditions after July 10 and decide whether to extend the break if needed.

School Timings Adjusted Across Kashmir
