ANANTNAG, TDD: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today said that had the Indian National Developmental Alliance (INDIA) got 20 seats more, the corrupt BJP leaders would have been in jail.Addressing an impressive and well attended public rally in support of the Congress and National Conference candidates in this historic town here today, Kharge said, despite the misuse of central agencies like the ED and the CBI, the INDIA bloc voters and leaders did not get intimidated. “From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Manipur to Gujarat, the INDIA bloc workers stood firm and stood against the BJP with the result that it was reduced to a minority government”, he said, while adding, “Modi was heading a lame government which could stand only with the support of TDP and Nitish Kumar”.The Congress president promised restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
