Kishtwar, (DD):Amid an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Kuchal area of Kishtwar, local BJP MLA Shagun Parihar condemned the continued presence of militants in the region and reaffirmed faith in the strength and resolve of Indian forces.
“It is unfortunate that terrorists are still active in our region,” Parihar said, pointing out that recent sightings of terrorists in Dachhan and Kuntwara are cause for concern. He referred to the infiltrators as “wolves of Pakistan”, asserting confidently that “our brave forces will eliminate them soon.”
The MLA attributed lack of road infrastructure in far-flung areas as one possible factor aiding terrorist movement and called upon the government to prioritise development in remote villages. “Education and infrastructure must be promoted to prevent such elements from taking root,” he added.
Taking a strong dig at Pakistan, Parihar said, “Pakistan is begging across the world and is now trying to disturb the peace in Jammu and Kashmir. But they must remember that they faced a defeat recently at the hands of our mighty military, and will face the same fate again if they continue this path.”
He concluded with a warning to terror sympathisers: “There are only a few wolves of Pakistan left — their end is near.”
Security operations in Kuchal remain underway, with forces continuing their efforts to neutralise the threat.(DD)
