Kishtwar to host first-ever Autumn Fest and All India Kavi Mushaira on Dec 19

Kishtwar, (TDD): The District Administration Kishtwar, led by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan, is all set to organize the district’s first-ever Autumn Festival and All India Kavi Sammelan/Mushaira on December 19, 2024. The landmark event aims to showcase Kishtwar’s rich cultural heritage, promote literary arts, and boost tourism in the region.

In a press briefing today, DC Kishtwar highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This is a proud moment for Kishtwar. The festival will celebrate our traditions, engage the youth, and promote various government initiatives.”

The Autumn Festival will feature a vibrant lineup of cultural activities, including:

Folk Music and Dance Performances by renowned artists such as Chaman Lehri, Shoaib Kandoo, Zahida Tarannum, and Tavishi Anand.

Local Cuisine Stalls offering authentic flavors of Kishtwar.

Free Medical Camps and information on Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Mission Youth initiatives, and Skill Development Programs for students.

The All India Kavi Sammelan/Mushaira will host renowned poets and literary figures from across India, including Shakeel Azmi, Sampat Saral, Varun Anand, Liyakat Jaffery, Prabhat Sharma, and Ramesh Mastana. Local poets will also participate, fostering cultural exchange through poetry and storytelling.

DC Kishtwar emphasized the event’s role in promoting cultural unity and economic growth. “This festival will not only put Kishtwar on the national map but will also attract tourists,” he said(TDD)
