English to Continue as Primary Language for Official Work

Leh, (DD)The Union Government has formally notified English, Hindi, Urdu, Bhoti, and Purgi as the official languages of the Union Territory of Ladakh through the Ladakh Official Languages Regulation, 2025.

As per the notification, English will continue to be used for all official purposes for which it was used prior to the implementation of the new regulation.
