Ladakh Police Recruitment Board Reconstituted to Ensure Transparent Hiring Process

Leh,(DD): In a major step toward enhancing fairness and transparency in recruitment, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has reconstituted the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board. The newly formed board will oversee the recruitment process for non-gazetted posts in the Police, Fire & Rescue, and Prison departments.

According to an official order issued by the Home Department, a six-member panel has been constituted to supervise key stages of the Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP), including the Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test, and the Written Examination.

Members of the newly reconstituted board are:

. Vikas Kumar, IPS – SSP Traffic Ladakh (I/c DIG Leh-Kargil Range) – Chairman

Altaf Ahmad Shah, IPS – Commandant IRP 25th Battalion – Member

Fulzele Piyush Nirakar, IPS – SSP Security, Ladakh – Member

Nitin Yadav, IPS – Additional SP, Kargil – Member

Rigzin Sangdup, JKPS – Additional SP, Leh – Member

. Mohd Ali – Deputy SP (Ministerial), Kargil – Member

The board has been mandated to ensure that all recruitment is conducted in a transparent, merit-based manner in strict accordance with codal procedures. It is also empowered to co-opt additional officers if required for effective functioning.

As per the guidelines, at least half of the board members must be present to form a quorum. The Chairman’s presence is mandatory unless in unavoidable circumstances, in which case the senior-most member will act on behalf of the Chair(DD)
