Leh, DD, The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, in collaboration with Golden Mile Learning (GML), hosted the Final Report Presentation and MoU Extension Signing Ceremony of the Reinforced Teacher Training (RTT) Program at Zen Hotel, Leh.
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk, was the Guest of Honour.
The event was also attended by Executive Councillors Ghulam Mehdi, Stanzin Chosphel, and Tashi Namgyal Yakzee.
The ceremony also saw the participation of Councillors led by LoP Tsering Namgyal, Director School Education UT Ladakh Tsering Paldan, Chief Planning Officer Leh Tsewang Gailson, CEO Leh, Deldan Angmo, Principal DIET Leh Mirza Mehdi, Co-Founder of GML Rajesh Patel, GML Director Dr. Neepa Oza, Training Coordinator Yangdol, ZEOs of Leh, Nyoma, Durbuk, Nubra, and Khaltsi, besides principals, headmasters, enthusiastic teachers, and trainer teams from Germany and Brazil.
The program began with a presentation on the three-year journey of RTT, highlighting the milestones achieved in capacity building of teachers.
Participants of the training shared their transformative experiences, which were followed by a felicitation ceremony wherein the CEC and Deputy Chairman presented mementos to the trainers in recognition of their contribution.
In his address, Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk commended the tangible impact of the program at the grassroots level, calling it one of the significant achievements in the education sector under LAHDC Leh.
He further emphasized the need to compile textbooks based on the insights gained from the training program and assured financial assistance for the same.
Co-Founder of GML, Rajesh Patel, extended heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders, especially the CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson, Deputy Chairman Tsering Angchuk, Executive Councillors, Councillors, teachers, and trainers, for their cooperation in making the program a smooth and joyful experience.
CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson, in his speech, attributed the success of such initiatives to the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the declaration of Ladakh as a Union Territory, which has broadened the educational landscape of the region.
He expressed great joy in the active involvement of more than 400 teachers in the program and extended special thanks to the GML team, trainers, and trainee teachers for their dedicated participation.
He also acknowledged the Deputy Chairman for his vision in spearheading such impactful educational initiatives.
The event concluded with the formal MoU signing between LAHDC Leh and GML for the extension of the RTT program, followed by expressions of appreciation, group felicitations, and high tea.DD
