‘Central Agencies to further investigate the seized cash case’

KATHUA,DD: The police have released both the detained Kashmiri youth from the custody of the Police Station Lakhanpur although the case will further be investigated by the central investigating agency.
The sources said that the detained youth were unable to clarify before the police about the source of the cash that was seized from the seized car.
“The IT Department has already taken over the cash, and initiated its investigation with the help of central agencies,” said the sources in the police department.
During the investigation, the came to know that a permanent cavity was created underneath the driver and co-driver’s seat / foot mats in Delhi.
“The investigation will further widen and more arrests are likely,” said the police sources, while informing that the central agencies have taken over the investigation of the case.
Pertinently, the police had seized Rs 3.36 Crores at Lakhanpur on J&K – Punjab Border.DD
