Jammu: DD, Government has ordered a probe into the landslide incident in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Track with the constitution of a three member’s committee.
As per the order issued by the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha, a high level three members committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Department of Jal Shakti Department, J&K has been constituted to enquire into the reason behind the tragic land-slide incident near Adhkuwari on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Track, Katra, District Reasi.
Other members of the committee include Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, and Inspector General of Police, Jammu.
The committee shall examine the causes/reasons behind the incident and point out any lapses, assess responses in the form of rescue and relief measures undertaken, and suggest appropriate SoPs, and measures for preventing recurrence of such incidents in future.
The committee shall submit its report within two weeks to the Chairman, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.DD
