LG Sinha orders increase in DA of Govt employees

Srinagar,TDD,The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor today ordered increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees.

The order issued by the by the LG, read that in continuation to the Government Order No. 212-F OF 2024 dated 26.06.2024, it is hereby ordered that Government Employees continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised Pay scale/Grade pay as per 6th Pay Commission, shall be paid Dearness

Allowance as under:-

Existing Rate of DA per month

Revised Rate of DA per month 239% of Basic Pay

With effect from 01.01.2024, 230% of Basic Pay, the order reads.

The arrears on account of additional installment of DA from January, 2024 to September 2024, shall be paid in cash in the month of October. ctober 2024 and shall form part of the monthly salary from October, 2024 onwards.

The payment on, account of Dearness Allowance involving fractions of 50 paisa and above may be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fraction of less than 50 paisa may be ignored, the order adds. (TDD)
