IMRAN SHAH

Jammu, DD; Jammu delegation of Kishtwar residents met with MLA Shagun Parihar to seek clarification on reports claiming that roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-IV) had been approved. Addressing their concerns, MLA Parihar clarified that the roads are currently only at the initial stage on the GSS portal, and the actual approval process is yet to commence.

The MLA informed the delegation that 10 roads have been listed in the preliminary phase, while others are still under consideration. He emphasized that formal approval will only be granted after the preparation and submission of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). Urging the public not to be misled by inaccurate reports, he assured that efforts are being made to expedite the process.

While expressing concern over potential delays, local residents appreciated the MLA’s transparency and commitment to the development of the region. The meeting concluded with an understanding that the necessary procedures must be followed before final approvals and construction can begin.

Authorities have advised the public to rely on official government announcements for updates regarding developmental projects to avoid misinformation.DD
