Ramban, (DD): In the wake of the recent tragedy in Ramban, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma has announced that a detailed factual report will be prepared and submitted to the Government of India (GoI). Speaking to reporters during his visit to the affected area, Sharma emphasized the need for a transparent investigation and timely action to ensure justice for the victims.
“We owe it to the people of Ramban to get to the root of what happened. This report will not be based on speculation, but on ground realities, verified data, and eyewitness accounts,” Sharma stated.
While expressing deep sorrow over the incident, he also criticized what he termed as “administrative negligence” that may have contributed to the tragedy. He called upon the central government to intervene, take corrective measures, and extend all possible assistance to the bereaved families.
The Opposition leader also urged for swift compensation and medical aid for the injured, and assured that the matter will be raised in the next session of the legislature if adequate steps are not taken.
