MARWAH:DD, Police Tuesday launched a special drive against traffic rule violators in Marwah to ensure public safety and reduce the risk of accidents on the hilly roads.
The drive was launched by SDPO Marwah, Vijay Kumar Bhagat, along with Sub-Inspector Basharat Hussain of Police Station Marwah.
During the naka checking, police said that they checked documents of the vehicles as well as the identity of the passengers.
During the naka checking, several vehicles were challaned and others were seized for violating traffic regulations. The authorities took a stern stance against violators.
According to the police, the naka was established to enforce strict adherence to motor vehicle rules.
“The crackdown aims to promote responsible driving habits, reduce the risk of accidents on the roads, and ensure public safety,” the police added, informed that such naka checking will continue in the future.
Meanwhile, the authorities also conducted identity checks, verifying ID cards and Aadhar cards of various passengers.
“The exercise reflects the administration’s efforts to maintain law and order and prevent potential security threats in the region,” police stated.DD
