Handwara, DD: Headquarters Office in PC Handwara today received a significant facelift with the inauguration of new and upgraded facilities for the jawans of the police unit. The initiatives, led by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Handwara, included the inauguration of a new mess complex for Jawans and upgradation of office cum JIC at the Headquarters. The initiative reflect the department’s commitment to enhancing the living and working conditions of its personnel, boosting their morale, and improving operational efficiency.
The SSP Handwara while visiting the Headquarter unit of PC Handwara inaugurated a newly constructed mess complex and dedicated it to the jawans posted in the unit. The modern facility includes a well-equipped kitchen with a foodgrain storage unit, a spacious dining area, and recreational facility for relaxation. Additionally, the upper storey of the building was opened to accommodate jawans, providing comfortable living spaces. This newly raised structure is a result of the police leadership’s efforts to ensure standard living facilities for personnel, showcasing their dedication to the welfare of the force.
In another significant development, the refurbished office cum JIC at the Headquarters in PC Handwara, was also inaugurated. The upgraded office features a joint briefing room equipped with an advanced interactive panel, enabling the integration of new technologies. This setup enhances the understanding of the operational area and its complexities, allowing for better data analysis and comprehensive planning of the police activities. The new technology is expected to strengthen decision-making and improve the unit’s operational effectiveness.
During the visit, SSP Handwara also distributed cash rewards among several jawans who demonstrated exemplary performance in their duties and achieved success on the operational front. This recognition highlights the dedication and hard work of the personnel, who operate in challenging terrains and under demanding conditions, ensuring the safety and security of the region.
Addressing the jawans, SSP Handwara praised their outstanding efforts and urged them to maintain the same level of enthusiasm and commitment.
