Jammu: DD, Jammu Police today claimed to have arrested a man involved in assaulting a government official in the Kangrail area.
Police said that the incident occurred on Wednesday, August 7, around 11:30 AM, when Susheel Kumar, serving as Patwari Kangrail, was allegedly assaulted while entering his office after field duty.
In his written complaint, Susheel Kumar stated that Abishek Suryavanshi, son of Jabar Singh and resident of Kangrail, blocked his way, physically assaulted him, and issued threats.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, police registered FIR No. 111/2025 under Sections 132, 126(2), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in Police Station Kanachak.
The individual Abishek Suryavanshi, has since been taken into custody, and further investigation is currently underway.DD
