Rajouri: DD, Police today claimed to have recovered heroin like narcotics substance and recovered more than Rs 5 lakhs cash in Nowshera.
“In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking Nowshera Police during search of the residential house of accused namely Jaswinder Kumar alias Sonu at Lamberi in Nowshera police party headed by SHO Nowshera Inspector Arjun Magotra, recovered more 504 grams of heroin-like substance and cash Rs 5 lakh and 14 thousand from the house of accused Sonu,” reads a statement issued by the police.
The police said that “… a total- 11 kg and 804 grams of heroin like narcotic substance and cash Rs 5 Lakh 14 thousand recovered.”
Police have registered a case under FIR Number 178 of 2024 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act.
This recovery marks a major success in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in Rajouri.
Nowshera Police remains committed to eradicating the drug menace and ensuring strict legal action against those involved. Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend other individuals linked to this network.DD
