Poonch, TDD, Police today claimed to have arrested a person with narcotic-like substance.
The arrested person has been identified as Rajat Kapoor, son of Rahul Kapoor, resident of Dungus.
Acting on inputs, checking and frisking operation at the Shankar Nagar near Shamshan Ghat, Poonch was launched.
During the operation, approximately 4.5 grams of a heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from his possession. The recovered substance has been seized, and a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the law.
The accused has been arrested and during sustained questioning disclosed some valuable information, further investigation initiated to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify any further potential links to a larger network involved in drug trafficking.
