Mankotia Holds Janta Darbar, Addresses Public Grievances and Highlights Development Initiatives

Udhampur :DD,Continuing his commitment to public welfare, Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA from the Chenani constituency, held a comprehensive Janta Darbar at his office today. A large number of people from whole District Udhampur and Chenani constituencies attended the event to voice their concerns and grievances. Mankotia actively listened to the issues raised by the public and directed the concerned officers to take immediate steps for their resolution.

During the Janta Darbar, Mankotia commended the Central Government for its proactive development initiatives and urged the public to avail themselves of the benefits of various schemes. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reopening the online portal under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), which has enabled the resumption of road surveys. Mankotia assured the public that under this initiative, surveys for pending roads in villages have already begun, and construction will commence soon, ensuring connectivity to every village in the constituency.

MLA Mankotia also provided crucial updates regarding the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). He stated that efforts are being intensified to include all left-out houses under the scheme. A fresh survey will soon be conducted to ensure that every eligible BPL family without a permanent house is identified and provided with assistance to build pucca houses. Mankotia emphasized that no family deserving of a house under PMAY will be left behind.

Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia said, “The government’s development-centric policies and schemes are paving the way for progress in rural and urban areas alike. My priority is to ensure that all schemes reach the grassroots level including bring new development projects for constituency as well as the people’s problems are resolved without delay. The Janta Darbars will continue to be held regularly to address public grievances and work towards solutions efficiently.”

The Janata Darbar witnessed the active participation of Ex-PRIs, Ex-BDC, DDC members, and numerous citizens from Udhampur and Chenani constituencies.DD
