MARRIAGE CEREMONY TURNS TRAGEDY: Three guests mysteriously disappear from Barat in Kathua’s Malhar

Police launches investigation

KATHUA:DD, Three people, who were part of a marriage barat, went mysteriously missing from the remote area of Malhar in District Kathua.
Based on the written complaint filed by Shori Lal, son of Mangru, resident of Marhoon, Billawar tehsil the Police Station Malhar has initiated an investigation to ascertain the factual ground report, and unfold the mystery of missing persons.
It was reported that these three missing persons were part of a barat procession that was going from Panchayat Marhoon in Billawar towards Panchayat Malhar Morha Surag.
The police quoting complaint identified missing persons as Darshan Singh alias Guddu (35), son of Kali Dass, Jogesh Singh (28), son of Shori Lal, resident of Marhoon and Varun Chander, son of Zail Singh, resident of Dehota, Tehsil Billawar.
“On reaching the Surag area, it was found that the above stated persons were not among them. They were missing from Malad Tehsil Lohai Malhar,” the complaint claimed as per the police.
Therefore, acting on the complaint, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter and find out the missing persons.DD
