MENDHAR: TDD,Security forces today launched a massive anti-terror combing operation, following specific input about the presence of suspected terrorists in Surankote, Poonch, last night.
“An input about the movement of three to four suspected terrorists was received by the security forces and accordingly, a search operation was launched in Sanai and Dhanna Shahsitar areas in Surankote,” said the sources, quoting the officials.
Several rounds were fired during the search operation, they added.
The sources said that the area was cordoned off, and this morning, the search operation was resumed in the targeted area,” said the sources.
They added that the place was under security radar after past terror related movements.
Till the filing of this report, the search continued, and no contact was established yet with the terrorists.TDD
