Jammu, DD, Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), J&K, Khurshid Ahmad Shah conducted a virtual financial review of the JJM implementation across Jammu & Kashmir. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineers of the Jal Shakti (PHE) Department from both Kashmir and Jammu, along with Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers from all divisions, including their Mechanical Engineering counterparts.
During the review, the Mission Director assessed the unspent funds exceeding one crore in the Single Nodal Account (SNA) of each division and directed the Executive Engineers to expedite payments to firms that have successfully completed their allotted works. He emphasized coordination between Executive and Superintending Engineers to ensure all liabilities are cleared before the financial year concludes in March 2025.
The Officer on Special Duty (OSD) urged officials to settle liabilities related to completed works to facilitate a smooth transition to the new payment system. Additionally, the divisions were instructed to upload details of infrastructure created on the Gati Shakti portal, aligning with the training provided by the National Jal Jeevan Mission to nodal officers.
To ensure effective monitoring, the next financial review is scheduled for the upcoming weekend. The meeting concluded with clear directions to accelerate the financial execution of JJM projects across J&K.DD
