Poonch: DD, MLA Poonch, Ajaz Jan attended the revered Buddha Amarnath Yatra congregation and extended warm greetings to Swamy Ji Maharaj and the people of Poonch on behalf of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Ajaz Jan appreciated the spiritual leadership of Swamy Ji Maharaj, stating that “Swamy Ji Maharaj has played a great role in promoting religious tourism and contributing to the development of the region.”
He further highlighted Poonch as a shining example of communal harmony, where Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs have long coexisted peacefully and respectfully. “Poonch is a symbol of unity in diversity. Our people have always stood together, especially in challenging times,” he said.
Jan also emphasized the unwavering support of the people of Poonch for the Indian armed forces during times of war, noting that their courage and patriotism have always contributed to the nation’s victories.
